Our Earth and Space VR Workshops take pupils on an extraordinary journey beyond our planet, exploring the wonders of the universe and the science behind space exploration. Designed for primary science, these immersive sessions bring the most distant concepts vividly to life, right from the classroom.

Earth and Space VR Workshops

Explore the Solar System and Beyond

During our Earth and Space VR Workshops, pupils travel through the solar system, exploring planets, moons, and rings while discovering how celestial bodies interact in space. They witness stellar nurseries where new stars burst into life and join scientists on the hunt for distant exoplanets. These are concepts that can feel impossibly abstract on a page but become genuinely real when pupils experience them through immersive virtual reality.

Stand on Mars, Glide Through Saturn’s Rings

One of the most extraordinary moments in the session is standing alongside the Curiosity rover on Mars’s red surface, before gliding through Saturn’s majestic rings and watching Earth, Sun, and Moon align in spectacular eclipses. Pupils gain a genuine understanding of orbits, lunar cycles, and the mechanics of our cosmic neighbourhood in a way that diagrams simply cannot replicate.

Space Exploration with Tim Peake

The session concludes aboard the International Space Station, where pupils take a guided tour of this remarkable feat of human engineering alongside British astronaut Tim Peake. It is space exploration brought to life, and pupils never forget it.

Curriculum-Aligned Science for Year 5

Our Earth and Space VR Workshops are fully aligned to the National Curriculum, covering the movement of Earth and other planets relative to the Sun, and the movement of the Moon relative to Earth. For the price of a single class trip, we can bring this experience to your whole school in one day.
